Summary

Rock core in Horton quadrangle, Ohio County, Kentucky penetrating Pennsylvanian strata. This core is part of the GIL series. Continuous cores drilled in the western Kentucky coal field during 1976 as part of the Kentucky Energy Cabinet coal resource assessment program. Named after Gil Smith.
