Summary

Rock core in Vox quadrangle, Whitley County, Kentucky penetrating Pennsylvanian strata. This core is part of the DBNF D series. Continuous cores drilled under a cooperative USGS/KGS program in 1981 and 1982 in the Daniel Boone National Forest. The purpose was to establish coal stratigraphy and acquire samples for analysis.
