09471143 - Walnut Gulch below ARS Flume 6, near Tombstone, AZ - 2017/07/28 Flow Event Data

Summary

The dataset consists of a slope-area computation of peak discharge (published via NWIS), stage data from continuous slope-area (CSA) sensors, CSA computations of discharge, verified Manning's roughness coefficients (n), channel geometry and reach properties associated with Manning's n computations, and GPS survey data associated with the flow event on July 28, 2017, at 09471143 - Walnut Gulch below ARS Flume 6, near Tombstone, AZ.

Purpose

The slope-area measurement was conducted to determine peak discharge using the slope-area method and was compared to the peak discharge determined using the CSA method and the known discharge measured by Flume 6. The CSA reach was installed to test the CSA method and determine channel roughness using the known discharge measured by Flume 6.
