Summary
Album caption: Washington County, Utah. Sheer wall of Zion Canyon about nine miles above Virign River, Utah. Looking northeast across canyon at eastern wall just north of rock no. 444. The great rock at left and that of which base appears at right remind one of El Capitan in the Yosemite. The cliff at left is about 800 ft. high, I estimate. A cable is suspended from its top of which lumber is let down from the plateau above. Index card: Sheer-wall of Zion Canyon, 9 mi. above Virgin River. (Scenic). Zion Naitonal Park. 1910.
