Purpose

Data were obtained to assess the the exposure of surrogate avian scavengers to lead and mercury across the Pacific Northwest. Common raven and turkey vultures are used as surrogates for California condors. Additionally assessed sources of lead and mercury exposure using stable isotopes and potential physiological effects using ALAD activity and corticosterone concentrations.
