Album caption: Exposure of Leipers limestone in cut on L&N R'way 0.8 mile south of Madison. Lowest member is massive to fine-granular tan limestone; central member in thin-bedded ripple-marked sandy limestone with shale parting; uppermost member is cross-bedded (not ripple-marked) limestone interlaminated with calcareous shale. Members 4, 5, and 6, respectively, of the type section (?). Davidson County, Tennessee. July 26, 1927. Index card: Railway cut in Leipers limestone near Madison.
