This dataset contains water-, sediment-, and biological-quality data collected immediately upstream and downstream from 5 bridges in 3 physiographic provinces (Piedmont, Upper Coastal Plain, and Lower Coast Plain) in South Carolina during periods of observable bridge-deck runoff during 2013 to 2018. Purpose

These data were collected to assess the downstream changes in receiving water-quality conditions during periods of observable stormwater runoff at selected bridge decks. Sediment-quality conditions and benthic macroinvertebrate community structure at locations upstream and downstream from selected bridge decks were compared to further assess integrated bridge-deck runoff effects on receiving water.
