Summary

View south toward northwest side of Vishnu Temple from Cape Royal viewpoint, north rim. San Francisco Peaks Volcano near Flagstaff, Arizona, in skyline about 80 miles south of Grand Canyon. Kaibab Formation forms top cliff of Vishnu Temple, Toroweap Formation (slope and small ledge), Coconino Sandstone (large white cliff), Hermit Formation (small red slope), Esplanade Sandstone (red cliff), and Wescogame, Manakacha, and Watahomigi Formations (red slopes and ledges).
