Jones, J.L., 2019, Results of individual and collocated lifeline exposure to hazards (and associated hazard and multi-hazard exposure surface data) resulting from the HayWired scenario earthquake sequence for counties and cities in the San Francisco Bay area, California: U.S. Geological Survey data release, https://doi.org/10.5066/P94HDTD8.

Summary

These data are a compilation of potential collocations between various lifeline infrastructure systems (transportation, water supply and wastewater, oil and gas, electric power, and telecommunications) components and their potential multi-hazard exposure resulting from the HayWired earthquake scenario, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake occurring on the Hayward Fault on April 18, 2018, with an epicenter in the city of Oakland, CA. Existing hazard data (surface offset, ground shaking, landslide, liquefaction, and fire following earthquake) were combined into a single multi-hazard intensity surface developed for this purpose. Several combinations of potential collocations between various lifeline infrastructure systems components--all lifeline [...]

Purpose

These data were collected in support of the Science Application for Risk Reduction (SAFRR) project's HayWired earthquake scenario. Appropriate use may include future work related to research using the HayWired earthquake scenario as its earthquake source. Please note that this dataset is based on scenario earthquake shaking data and does not represent any known future earthquake activity. These data are for educational and training purposes only.
