Summary

Newark Basin field quadrangle maps and notes as part of the NJGS-USGS CoGeoMap field mapping project. Ronald Parker of the United States Geological Survey and Hugh Houghton of the New Jersey Geological Survey partnered on this project in the Newark Basin, various dates in the 1980s. Some quads in the hard copy files have no markings and are not included in the digital data.

Material Request Instructions

Four full-color quadrangle field map and one ditto map: a bedrock and an outcrop map, both by Houghton, with numerous red ink, black ink, blue ink, yellow highlighter, graphite pencil, colored pencil, and white-out markings and notations throughout both maps; one Parker map with graphite pencil notations i the lower center and right; one with unknown geologist noting a USGS drill site with harder-to-see scattered graphite pencil notations throughout the map; and one ditto copy of a map with notations in red marker.
