Summary

Newark Basin field quadrangle maps and notes as part of the NJGS-USGS CoGeoMap field mapping project. Ronald Parker of the United States Geological Survey and Hugh Houghton of the New Jersey Geological Survey partnered on this project in the Newark Basin, various dates in the 1980s. Some quads in the hard copy files have no markings and are not included in the digital data.

Material Request Instructions

Five quadrangle field maps: one color quad with prominent red and black markings noting geology and the Ramapo Fault; one by Houghton with light graphite and red pencil and blue ink markings along fault area; one black and white photocopied map with location 19 in blue ink; one black and white photocopied map with black-ink circled locations; one black-and-white Parker map with highlighter markings; another color of Parker in the folder is unmarked.
