This dataset was developed for the BLM Rapid Ecoregional Assessment for the North Slope and represents the current (2014) distribution for the Terrestrial Fine-Filter Conservation Element caribou: Central Arctic Herd. The total annual range polygon is based on the raster total annual kernel density developed by Alaska Department of Fish and Game. All kernel lines have been dissolved. This dataset does not represent importance of habitat. Total annual range represents the smallest polygon that fits 95% of all collar locations from 2004 to 2014.
