Purpose

The data was collected to determine if this pathogen is present in the ecosystem in southwest Florida where Burmese pythons are invasive. Native snakes were also swabbed opportunistically during python removal efforts. The data contained within this data release is summarized in a table in the associated manuscript, and therefore the data release offers only minimally more information than the journal product.
