Mount St. Helens. Skamania County, Washington. n.d.
Summary
Index card: Diagram. Movement through two eruption cycles on the west side of the dome. Near Miss II and III actually survived both eruption periods. Mid-June and Hidden-Crack survived through one eruption and almost to the second. Again this slide shows that what uplift there is takes place early in the spreading cycle. Quickly subsidence becomes dominant prior to and during the eruptions. At the end of the eruption there is a long period of pre-eruption swelling in which rates are slow. Again the rates increase, subsidence becomes prominent, and the eruption occurs again. Skamania County, Washignton. n.d.
