Purpose
Data were obtained in order to (1) demonstrate the viability of assessing the temporal and spatial variations in sources, transport, and sinks of nutrient and organic matter in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta using chemical and stable isotope parameters and (2) assess whether there were significant differences between the chemistry and isotopic composition of water samples from the Sacramento River, two of its primary distributaries (Steamboat and Miner Sloughs), and an adjacent wetland area (Cache Slough Complex).
