Album caption: Exposure of till and outwash of the Kobuk Glaciation along the east bank of the Ambler River. Stratified yellowish-gray gravel, sand, and silt in the upper part of the bluff overlies bluish-gray till in the lower part. The 100-foot section was measured near the left side of the picture. The bluff is 2 miles upstream from the junction of the Ambler and Kobuk Rivers. Kobuk district, Northern Alaska region, Alaska. 1951.
