Index No: MRTN102831; Collected By: Thomas B. Nolan; Sample Type: thin section; Notes: Location taken from Mizpah Mine shaft; Dark gray groundmass with numerous white feldspars, all somewhat altered. Could be M.T. Feldspar phenocrysts partially adularized and sericitized on non-adul. portions. Slight kaolinization. Femags scarce and going to sericite and quartz rutile. Groundmass chiefly sericite and silica with some colorless and faint brown apatite. One feldspar gave max. angle of 15 degrees. Pyrite is very abundant and some patches of pale yellow-green chlorite. Considerable introduced quartz and quartz-adularia veinlets.
