Bed rock bench, near portage, on edge of conglomerate. Alaska. n.d.
Summary
Album caption: Bed rock bench, near portage, on edge of conglomerate, from one eighth mile N.E. of camp July 16, looking S. 55 de. W. (This bed rock bench by level seems to slope down slightly N.E., or up stream indicating that it was probably formed by a former drainage that flowed out to the Nl, also, in looking in the opposite direction, or up stream, the divide, for probably two miles in width, transversely shows the benching and till deposits to lie below this level of B..3000 ft., showing, it seems to me, that this bench could never have been cut by the present drainage.) See no. 159. Alaska. n.d. No index card available.
