Purpose

Cores were collected to characterize the sediment that has deposited in Lake Powell and determine the presence, if measurable, of metals associated with the 2015 Gold King Mine release in the San Juan River delta. Data further provides empirical evidence for volumetric studies in sedimentation and storage capacity.
