Purpose

The purpose of Professional Paper 1625-C is to release the interpretation of assessment and modeling data for the the top-producing coal beds in the northern and central Appalachian Basin coal regions. The purpose of this coverage is to present the publicly available point- source information used in this study. Individuals who do not have an internet connection to access the detailed data coverages interactively through GeoDE or who cannot use the ARC/INFO export covers provided on this CD-ROM can use this coverage to obtain limited information on the Pittsburgh coal bed.
