Purpose

These data were captured to assess the accuracy of multiple discharge measurement techniques as compared with rated discharges recorded at permanent gaging stations. For all USGS gage sites the rated discharge and field measurements using the Flowtracker and Price current meters can be obtained from the USGS NWIS database and should be considered as more accurate than the measurements made with the other techniques. As a results, these data are only appropriate to use for evaluated comparative accuracy within the experimental context of this study.
