As part of the 2020 NGGDPP effort, NBMG converted two maps into USGS GeMS (Faulds et al., 2012; Rhodes et al., 2011). The geologic map data migrated into the GeMS format are digital-born GIS maps published by NBMG. These geologic maps are particularly useful for geothermal research and assist in the understanding and development of geothermal systems in Nevada. The maps were selected for migration based on quality of mapping, level of detail, and geothermal focus.
