Summary

This data set contains one-dimensional U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Hydrologic Engineering Center’s River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) hydraulic model files for selected stream crossing sites in the Squannacook River Basin, north-central Massachusetts. The hydraulic models have been developed using surveyed data and Geographic Information System (GIS) derived data. The “HEC-RAS_model_files_readme.txt” is a text document describing the HEC-RAS model files naming conventions and requirements. The “HEC-RAS_model_files.zip” contains the HEC-RAS hydraulic model files.

Purpose

These hydraulic models provide a comparison analysis between field surveyed and automated GIS-derived river cross section data for selected stream crossing sites in the Squannacook River Basin. These data serve as an accuracy assessment of the automated GIS methods developed to produce preliminary culvert design hydraulic models at existing culvert locations.
