Summary
A MODFLOW-NWT model was used to simulate long-term, average conditions in the regional, Columbia County groundwater system since about 1970. A GFLOW model was used to estimate regional boundary fluxes to the MODFLOW-NWT model domain
Summary
A MODFLOW-NWT model was used to simulate long-term, average conditions in the regional, Columbia County groundwater system since about 1970. A GFLOW model was used to estimate regional boundary fluxes to the MODFLOW-NWT model domain
The purpose of the MODFLOW-NWT model was to provide a tool to understand the county-scale groundwater flow system. The model has many potential applications, including simulation of the effects of existing or proposed high-capacity wells, estimating the zone of contribution for these wells, and understanding relationships between surface water and groundwater.
