Greece, Preveza: 1976-2022

The Preveza cluster is named for the city of Preveza in the region of Epirus in northwest Greece. The cluster contains a 6.0 mb event on November 17, 2015 and a dozen other events with magnitude 5.0 or greater. All events are well-recorded at teleseismic distances and have depth control fron near-source or local-distance readings. The distribution of stations for direct calibration is a little weak to the seaward side, as expected, but it is quite dense and very adequate to provide a robust estimate of the hypocentroid.
