Summary

This product is a georectified and tonally balanced mosaic of aerial photographs collected in 1938 by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation along the floodplain of the Colorado River in Mohave Valley region of Arizona, California and Nevada. This dataset is a primary resource for the development of a geologic map showing the floodplain and river channel characteristics along the Colorado River in Mohave Valley prior to extensive impact from flow regulation by Hoover Dam. Georeferencing of individual photographs and mosaic generation were performed by Digital Aerial Solutions, LLC. In addition to the mosaic, the data release also includes individual digital aerial photographs (original scans and georeferenced) that cover the area of interest. [...]
