Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center

Summary

The National and Regional Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASCs) work with natural and cultural resource managers to gather the scientific information and build the tools needed to help fish, wildlife and ecosystems adapt to the impacts of climate change. The Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center (NE CASC) is one of nine regional CASCs, managed by the National CASC. The NE CASC is hosted by the University of Massachusetts - Amherst with the College of Menominee Nation, Columbia University, Marine Biological Laboratory, University of Minnesota, University of Missouri Columbia, and University of Wisconsin-Madison as consortium members. Purpose

The Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center (NE CASC) funds numerous projects that are selected through a competitive process to address stakeholder-driven needs related to climate change impacts on fish, wildlife, ecosystems and communities. The NE CASC also supports a selection of projects through the NE CASC Academic Consortium led by their host university, The University of Massachusetts Amherst.
