Album caption: Illinoian drift exposed in Chicago, Milwaukee & Gary railway cut 7 miles south of Rockford; the lower part is dense calcareous unmodified boulder clay; upper 8 feet is gravelly leached and oxidized drift, all limestone pebbles and limestone flour are removed from latter by solution. Winnebago County, Wisconsin. June 22, 1908. Handwritten note on album caption: No. 388. Plate 18-B in U.S. Geological Survey. Professional paper 106. 1918.
