Summary

Canyon of North Fork of Gunnison River, near Somerset, looking eastward; showing canyon walls, 2000 feet high, consisting principally of sandstones in upper part of Mesaverde formation. The northward-facing brush covered slopes appear at the right and the rock exposures in the southward-facing slopes at the left. Gunnison County, Colorado. 1907. Plate 7-A in U.S. Geological Survey.
