Summary

Suspended-sediment concentration, percent by mass finer than 0.0625 millimeters, instantaneous stream discharge, and suspended-sediment discharge for seven sites in the Lower Mississippi-Atchafalaya River Basin have been revised following a program review. This dataset provides the pre- and post-review revised values, along with supporting information as described in the associated publication (Norton and others, 2018). Data are included for October 1989 through February 2015 at seven sites, represented by nine sampling stations. The stations are located near the Old River Control Complex and the lower Atchafalaya River. The original data were collected as part of a cooperative program between the U.S. Geological Survey and the U.S. [...]

Purpose

Data were collected as part of a cooperative program to provide information about suspended-sediment transport around the Old River Control Complex. Following a program review, the original data were revised. As a result the accuracy of the reported results has increased.
