The Upper Midwest & Great Lakes Landscape Conservation Cooperative's Coastal Conservation Working Group (CCWG) ‘Designing the Coastal Wetlands of Tomorrow’ September 6th, 2017 stakeholder workshop came together in order to 1) present practioners with available tools for coastal wetlands work and to solicit practitioner feedback. The CCWG is interested in expanding its partnership to help facilitate coastal wetlands work. This polygon vector feature class created out of this workshop was intended to identify areas where Great Lakes coastal wetlands maybe be prime for protection, (maintain and protect current wetlands), restoration (add wetlands or increase size of a wetland), or enhancement (improve the quality of a wetland). Identifying areas of coastal wetland opportunities is part of the CCWG implementation strategy.
