Indonesia, Krakatoa: 1992-2017

The Krakatoa cluster is named for Anak Krakatoa volcano in the Sunda Strait between the Indonesian islands of Java and Sumatra. Most of the 47 events in the cluster are closely associated with Anak Krakatoa. All events in the cluster are observed at teleseismic distances. Azimuthal coverage from local seismic stations on Java and Sumatra is fairly good but there are no stations at near-source distance for this cluster, so most depths are constrained by arrivals at local distance (0.5-1.2°).
