Summary

The Transboundary Madrean Watersheds Landscape Conservation Design (LCD) was developed as part of an effort initiated by the Desert Landscape Conservation Cooperative (Desert LCC). The Desert LCC was a program of the Bureau of Reclamation and the US Fish and Wildlife Service to address large-scale landscape conservation in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. Desert Landscape Conservation Cooperative(Distributor)

Purpose

This shapefile contains data on spatial indicators developed for the Madrean Watersheds Landscape Conservation Design. It covers parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Sonora, and Chihuahua. The unit of analysis is Forest Cores (see report). Included are indicators on their original scale, indicators rescaled to values between 0-100 (in some cases, -100 to 100), and analysis products which are the result of combining 2-3 indicators.
