Aulavik, a park for which an establishment agreement has been reached, is also included. A set of attributes that move cooperative wildlife management systems within national parks towards success are compiled, and a hypothetical model prepared. The parks and reserves are evaluated for compliance with these attributes and model, following which recommendations are made as to how to move the system within which each park... Previous studies in the region identify grizzlies as the species most at risk from cumulative impacts of human activity. The goals of this project were to: (1) identify the effects of cumulative human activities on grizzly habitat and populations; and (2) provide recommendations on human-use management with respect to the conservation of grizzlies and their habitat. The Yukon First Nations Final Agreements are detailed documents that create a structure for shared responsibility, jurisdiction, and ownership over land and resources. This project examines the provisions of the Yukon First Nations Final Agreements in terms of their ability to promote sustainable development. The project undertakes four main tasks.
