These data describe the results of virus isolation from oropharyngeal/cloacal swabs and testing of sera by a commercial blocking enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (bELISA) and hemagglutinin (HA) specific testing by microneutralization (MN) and hemagglutination inhibition (HI) for Lesser Scaup in both the Atlantic and Pacific Flyways and Greater Scaup in the Pacific Flyway. These data support a USGS published manuscript.

These data describe the creation, execution, and results of an effort to model the risk of avian influenza transmission across the wild waterfowl - domestic poultry interface at weekly intervals for the contiguous United States.
This data release supports a paired USGS publication that explores how road watering on an active construction site impacts dust accumulation and monarch distribution.

We collated existing quantitative data on avian dietary composition of 58 waterbird species that make use of the Chesapeake Bay. From this database, we quantified the relative importance of forage taxa to the diets of each waterbird species. This data will enable us to develop a comprehensive suite of forage taxa indicators whose abundance and distributions can be monitored as a proxy for Chesapeake Bay ecosystem health. These data support a paired USGS authored publication.
Our data include detailed information about 12 species of Anatidae broods encountered on four study areas in Maine during 1977–1994 as one dataset. The second dataset provides the characteristics of the wetlands which were monitored during the studies. The third dataset enumerates the effort (such as numbers of visits to each wetland) to determine numbers of broods and the number of young that reached Class IIC-III to fledge. Each wetland is described by size, pH, specific conductivity, and class according to the system of Cowardin and others (1979, Classification of wetlands and deepwater habitats of the United States, USFWS publication, 131 p.). More details of the datasets are included in the companion USGS Data...
