This three-band, 30-m resolution raster contains sagebrush vegetation types, soil temperature/moisture regime classes, and large fire frequencies across greater sage-grouse population areas within the Snake River Plain sage-grouse management zone. Sagebrush vegetation types were defined by grouping together similar vegetation types from the LANDFIRE biophysical settings layer. Soil moisture and temperature regimes were from an USDA-NRCS analysis of soil types across the greater sage-grouse range. This dataset represents the observed and predicted relative bird density during autumn migratory stopover within the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S. as measured by NEXRAD weather surveillance radar during the periods of peak landbird migration (15 August to 7 November) during 2008 through 2014. Streamflows in late spring and summer have declined over the last century in the western U.S. and mean annual streamflow is projected to decrease by six to 25% over the next 100 years. In arid and semi-arid regions of the western US, it is likely that some perennial streams will shift to intermittent flow regimes in response to climate-driven changes in timing and magnitude of precipitation, runoff, and evaporation. For the Green River Basin Landscape Conservation Design (GRB LCD) assessment, we mapped the vulnerability of sagebrush ecosystem to climate change and resistance/resilience for each 12-digit hydrologic unit. Using a vulnerability framework, we defined Sensitivity (S) as the multi-scale average of sagebrush ecosystem land cover derived from LANDFIRE Existing Vegetation Type (LANDFIRE 2014). Exposure (E) to climate change was based on the max-normalized value of climate velocity from AdaptWest (2015).
