This shapefile contains sub-indices comprised of various anthropogenic land use/covers respresentative of the risk of potential habitat degradation to streams within the state of Hawaii. This file is an updated version of 'nfhap_hci_hawaii.shp' and incorporates the suggestion from the Hawaii Fish Habitat Partnership of removing trails and paths from the road network to help better represent amounts of disturbance in remote areas such as the Na Pali coast. Subindices are summarized for local and network catchments specific to perennial stream reaches throughout the state. Static flood inundation boundary extents were created along the entire shoreline of Lake Ontario in Cayuga, Jefferson, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans, Oswego, and Wayne Counties in New York by using recently acquired (2007, 2010, 2014, and 2017) light detection and ranging (lidar) data. This layer represents 5-year relative counts of wildlife carcasses collected by Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) maintenance personnel or U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Grizzly Bear Recovery Team personnel on or adjacent to on-system (major) routes from 2008 to 2012. To obtain relative counts, the 5-year total counts per mile, which included all wildlife species observed, were divided by the maximum observed calue (98) to give a relative 0-1 risk score. This mapping documents the changes in extent and condition of vernal pool habitat in the Great Valley between 2005 and 2012. "Vernal pool habitat" is defined as vernal pools and the surrounding upland (typically grassland) habitat matrix. The 2005 basemap was created by using double-blind mapping protocol and included 21.4 million acres in and surrounding the Sacramento and San Joaquin valleys (Witham et al 2013). The area included in the 2012 remapping effort focused on the 807,820 acres identified in the 2005 map and areas immediately surrounding the previously mapped polygons. For the Green River Basin Landscape Conservation Design (GRB LCD) assessment, we mapped the vulnerability of riparian habitat for terrestrial species and process. Using a vulnerability framework, we defined Sensitivity (S) as the percent riparian vegetation within the valley bottom and Exposure (E) as the amount of human modification within the valley bottom. For each 12-digit hydrologic unit code within the GRB LCD we summarized the riparian sensitivity and exposure to human modification.
