This data release links benthic macroinvertebrate sites to both the NHDPlus Version 2 and NHDPlus High Resolution Region 02 networks, hereafter referred to as V2 and HR, using the hydrolink methodology. Here we provide data used to report on changes in tidal marsh elevation in relation to our network of 20 fixed benchmarks located across a geographically broad network of coastal elevation monitoring stations with standard monitoring protocols. This dataset includes Surface Elevation Table (SET) measurements taken from 10 sites along the US Atlantic coast, ranging from Virginia to Maine. Each site includes 2 SETs where repeat measurements of wetland surface elevation were made from 2005-2019.
The 1966-2022 North American Breeding Bird Survey (BBS) dataset contains avian point count data for more than 700 North American bird taxa (species, races, and unidentified species groupings). These data are collected annually during the breeding season, primarily in June, along thousands of randomly established roadside survey routes in the United States and Canada. Routes are roughly 24.5 miles (39.2 km) long with counting locations placed at approximately half-mile (800-m) intervals, for a total of 50 stops. Biological indicators including morphometric (length, weight), age, sex and health indicators including organismal (health assessment index, condition factor), organ (hepatosomatic index, gonadosomatic index), cellular (intersex, parasite density, macrophage aggregate density), subcellular (plasma vitellogenin, estradiol, testosterone, 11-keto testosterone) and molecular (hepatic transcript abundance) were measured in smallmouth bass from tributaries in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Total mercury was measured in these fish and correlations between mercury and biological indicators were assessed.

The eastern black rail (Laterallus jamaicensis jamaicensis; hereafter rail) is a small, cryptic marshbird that was recently listed as threatened under the U.S. Endangered Species Act. We organized a rapid prototyping workshop to initiate development of an adaptive management for rails on the Atlantic Coast. The in-person workshop spanned 2.5 days and was held in Titusville, Florida in January 2020. Workshop participants, comprised of species experts and land managers of rail habitats, chose to focus the framework on testing habitat management techniques to maximize rail occupancy, in which uncertainties could be reduced through a combination of field management experiments and coordinated monitoring. Data are fish species occurrences in surveys made by backpack electrofishing and seining in shoal habitats in the Etowah River downstream from Allatoona Dam (n=10 surveys in 2010 and n=5 surveys in 2016; 20 taxa total) and in the Coosawattee River downstream from Carters Dam and re-regulation dam (n=11 surveys in 2010; 32 taxa total), Georgia, USA. Data for the Etowah River include counts of individuals for each species captured; data for the Coosawattee River are observed or not observed for each species in the data set.

The Grand Calumet River flows through northwestern Indiana and was designated an EPA Area of Concern (AOC) in 1987. There are multiple legacy pollutants in the river including but not limited to heavy metals and PCBs. To investigate potential causes and patterns of eutrophication in the river, water samples were collected for 16S rRNA microbial and eukaryotic 18S rRNA amplicon sequencing during April - September 2021.
