This Titanium_vanadium_deposits.csv file contains data about titanium-vanadium deposits hosted in mafic-ultramafic layered intrusions and massif anorthosite intrusions around the world. It lists the deposits and associated information such as the host intrusion, location, grade, and tonnage data, along with other miscellaneous descriptive data about the deposits. Also included with this data release are the following files: Titanium_vanadium_deposits.shp file, which duplicates the information in the Titanium_vanadium_deposits.csv file in a spatial format for use in a GIS; Titanium_vanadium_column_headings.csv file, which correlates the column headings in the Titanium_vanadium_deposits.csv file with the attribute...

The locations of approximately 26,000 current and historical U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) surface-water monitoring gaging stations have been indexed to the NHDPlus Version 2.1 stream network. Part of the USGS National Water Information System (NWIS), these gaging stations measure water flow and water levels in streams and lakes. The NHDPlus V2 stream network locations for these gaging stations differ from stations' latitude/longitude provided in NWIS. The NWIS coordinates are frequently not coincidenet with the NHDPlus stream network.
This Titanium_vanadium_column_headings.csv file correlates the column headings in the Titanium_vanadium_deposits.csv file with the attribute field names in the Titanium_vanadium_deposits.shp file and provides a brief description of each column heading and attribute field name. Also included with this data release are the following files: Titanium_vanadium_deposits.csv file, which lists the deposits and associated information such as the host intrusion, location, grade, and tonnage data, along with other miscellaneous descriptive data about the deposits; Titanium_vanadium_deposits.shp file, which duplicates the information in the Titanium_vanadium_deposits.csv file in a spatial format for use in a GIS; Titanium_vanadium_deposits_concentrate_grade.csv...

Chemical and microbiological results, quality assurance and quality control, site location, and method information for surface water, bed sediment, and wastewater effluent collected from 34 stream locations across Iowa (United States). Environmental samples were analyzed for a suite of 29 antibiotics, plated on selective media for 15 types of bacteria growth, and DNA was extracted from culture growth and used in downstream polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assays for the detection of 24 antibiotic resistance genes. Environmental field data were collected in-situ for water temperature (°C), specific conductivity (µs/cm), dissolved oxygen (mg/L), pH (standard units), and turbidity (FNU) using a multiparameter sonde...

This dataset includes georeferenced high-resolution, airborne thermal infrared (TIR) imagery, a polyline shapefile of the channel centerline, and a tabular file with longitudinal stream temperature profiles for Hat Creek, California. The two aerial TIR surveys were conducted with a helicopter by NV5 Geospatial (formerly Quantum Spatial, Inc.) and are published as two raster mosaics in GeoTiff format with a resolution of 0.5 m. The TIR mosaics and longitudinal stream temperature profiles contain corrected surface temperatures in degrees C (multiplied by 10 to create an unsigned integer pixel type). The TIR dataset encompasses a 64.6-km reach of Hat Creek that extends from 50 m upstream of the confluence with Lost...

The Chicot aquifer system is a vital water resource for Southwestern Louisiana, providing nearly half of the fresh groundwater the region consumes (Sargent, 2011). The aquifer’s surficial confining unit consists of a wedge-shaped thickening sequence of south to southeastern dipping, interbedded clays and courser material (primarily sand and gravel). In collaboration with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LDOTD), Sargent and others (2004) extracted data from driller’s logs, geophysical logs, and well construction information for 2094 wells overlying the Chicot aquifer to enhance the delineation of the thickness and occurence of the aquifer’s surficial confining unit. These data were applied...
This Titanium_vanadium_deposits_concentrate_grade.csv file contains data about the concentrate grade of titanium-vanadium deposits hosted in mafic-ultramafic layered intrusions and massif anorthosite intrusions around the world. Also included with this data release are the following files: Titanium_vanadium_deposits.csv file, which lists the deposits and associated information such as the host intrusion, location, grade, and tonnage data, along with other miscellaneous descriptive data about the deposits; Titanium_vanadium_deposits.shp file, which duplicates the information in the Titanium_vanadium_deposits.csv file in a spatial format for use in a GIS; Titanium_vanadium_column_headings.csv file, which correlates...

The Dynamic Surface Water Extent MODIS (DSWEmod) surface water maps for the conterminous United States were used for a study conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Patterns in the Landscape - Analyses of Cause and Effect (PLACE) team quantifying seasonal and annual surface water trends within Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Level I and Level III Ecoregions (Omernik, 1987) across the U.S. from 2003 through 2019. The overarching objectives of this study were to, (i) generate the monthly DSWEmod maps for the conterminous United States, (ii) review the spatial and temporal dynamics of surface water extent across ecoregions, and (iii) compare surface water area trends to streamgage discharge trends to determine...

This data release includes four .csv files and one Esri shapefile which contain data on titanium-vanadium deposits hosted in mafic-ultramafic layered intrusions and massif anorthosite intrusions from around the world. Some of the data was used to create a grade and tonnage model for titanium-vanadium deposits hosted in mafic-ultramafic layered intrusions. Only deposits with reported grade and tonnage information were included in this data compilation. The Titanium_vanadium_deposits.csv and Titanium_vanadium_deposits.shp files list the deposits and associated information such as the host intrusion, location, grade, and tonnage data, along with other miscellaneous descriptive data about the deposits. The Titanium_vanadium_column_headings.csv...
