This data are a single table of nest records from a multi-year study of Pacific Common Eider (Somateria mollissima v-nigrum) biology that was conducted along the lower Kashunuk River, Kigigak Island, and the mouth of the Tutakoke River on the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta from 1991-2004.
This metadata document describes the data contained in the "Argos Raw Data" (Child Item 2) of this data release. This data release contains all data collected by the Argos System from 28 satellite transmitters attached to Common Murres on their breeding range in arctic and western Alaska, 1994-1996. Five data files are included in the "Argos Raw Data" (Child Item 2) of this data release. Two data files (with identical content) contain the raw Argos DIAG (Diagnostic) data, one in the legacy verbose ASCII format and one in a tabular Comma Separate Value (CSV) format. Two other data files (with identical content) contain the raw Argos DS (Dispose) data, one in the legacy verbose ASCII format and one in a tabular CSV...
This is a child item of the USGS Data Release: https://doi.org/10.5066/P9QF8RR5 This dataset is a single comma-delimited text file (.csv). Data include the name of lakes where samples were obtained, the historical dynamics of that lake, the sampled community type, and the dry mass of annual new growth. Shrub community measurements are a combination of understory mass from quadrat harvests and shrub stem mass derived from published allometric equations.
This is a child item of the USGS Data Release: https://doi.org/10.5066/P9QF8RR5 This dataset is a single comma-delimited text file (.csv). Data include the name of lakes where samples were obtained, soil pH, electrical conductivity (EC), water content (VWC), and bulk density (BD) of soil core samples within organic soil horizon in lake-margin wetland plant communities.
This is a child item of the USGS Data Release: https://doi.org/10.5066/P9QF8RR5 Total and organic carbon values from soil samples taken from the Yukon River Basin, Alaska. These samples were used to create a relationship between total carbon and organic carbon for samples which were only run for total carbon.
The Eagle airborne magnetic and radiometric geophysical survey covers parts of the Charley River, Eagle, and Tanacross quadrangles near Eagle, Alaska (fig. 1). Magnetic and radiometric data were collected with a fixed-wing aircraft May 24 to June 27, 2021 by MPX Geophysics LTD. A total of 26,926 line kilometers were collected covering 9,731 square kilometers. The magnetometer was mounted to a rear-facing fixed boom (tail stinger). The radiometric crystals were located in the cabin of the aircraft. The Eagle survey was flown with a line spacing of 400 meters (m) and a mean ground clearance of 330 m. The data, as well as additional metadata, are available from the DGGS website: https://doi.org/10.14509/30755. USGS...

Fragment data from 11 nuclear microsatellite loci and sequence data from the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene were gathered from Arctic cod (Boreogadus saida) in the Beaufort and Chukchi seas. Mitogenomic analyses of Arctic cod and three other co-distributed gadoids (Polar cod [Arctogadus glacialis], Saffron cod [Eleginus gracilis], Walleye Pollock [Gadus chalcogrammus]) were also completed. Transcriptomic analyses of Arctic cod were used to identify genes associated with environmental perturbations. Genome-wide scans using RAD-Seq of Arctic cod and the co-distributed Polar Cod were collected.

This dataset includes measures collected on polar bears captured in the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas, 1981-2017 by the U.S. Geological Survey and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Data collected include body length, body mass, axillary girth, skull width and tail lengths. Bears were also aged as described in the methods. For some bears, an adipose tissue sample was collected and percent lipid content was measured, percent body fat was measured via bioelectrical impedance analysis, and/or recent feeding behavior was assessed via gut palpitation or blood urea and creatinine levels, all of which are further described in the methods. These data are part of the Gulf Watch Alaska (GWA) long-term monitoring program, nearshore monitoring component. The dataset has one comma separated values (.csv) table with estimates of eelgrass (Zostera marina) percent cover. Eelgrass cover was estimated from sonar and video drop cameras deployed from boats following prescribed survey transects.
