This tabular data set represents the percent of land cover classes from the 2014 Crop land Data Layer compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data is the "2014 Crop Land Data Layer" produced by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS, 2015). Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network characterizes...

Our objective was to develop a species-distribution model using habitat associations that represent probability of suitable habitat for the species historical range and the range under climate change scenarios including a hot/dry prediction (MIROC3.2) and a cool/wet prediction (ECHAM5) and 1-m and 2-m sea level rise scenarios; urban growth was also inlcuded. Future model predictions were based on extrapolated data for two time steps in the 21st century: mid (2046-2064) and late (2081-2100). Species distributions were modeled with Maxent (Maximum Entropy presence-only algorithm); climate change scenarios were based on precipitation and temperature changes as applied to stream conditions (e.g., flow) modeled with...

This data collection consists of a synthetic stream network and associated catchments developed as the foundation for a Spatially Referenced Regressions on Watershed Attributes (SPARROW) dissolved-solids source and transport model for the Upper Colorado River Basin (UCRB). The SPARROW model requires a hydrologically connected representation of a stream network through which loads are transported from an upstream reach to the next reach downstream (Schwarz and others, 2006; Moore and others, 2004). Each stream reach or segment within this synthetic stream network has an associated local drainage area or catchment used to calculate catchment characteristics that may have an effect on loads being modeled. The synthetic...
These tabular data are summaries of land use/land cover related variables within catchments of the Chesapeake Bay watershed using the Xstrm methodology at 1:24,000 scale. Variables being counted as land use/land cover related contain all land use and land cover data including datasets that are split off or combined from those data (eg. agriculture or impervious classes only datasets). Outputs consist of tabular comma-separated values files (CSVs) for both the local catchment and network summaries linked to the National Hydrography Dataset Plus High-Resolution (NHDPlus HR) framework by NHDPlus ID. Local catchments are defined as the single catchment the data is summarized within. Network accumulation summaries were...

These tabular data are summaries of climate related variables within catchments of the Chesapeake Bay watershed using the Xstrm methodology at 1:24,000 scale. Variables being counted as climate related include temperature and precipitation by both annual and monthly values. Outputs consist of tabular comma-separated values files (CSVs) for the local catchment and network summaries linked to the National Hydrography Dataset Plus High-Resolution (NHDPlus HR) framework by NHDPlus ID. Local catchments are defined as the single catchment the data is summarized within. Network accumulation summaries were completed for each of the local catchments and their network-connected upstream catchments. The summarized data tables...

The Cape Fear and Pee Dee River Basins in North Carolina and South Carolina were chosen as a focus area study (FAS) for the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Water Census (NWC) in 2016. The objective of the NWC is to place technical information and tools in the hands of stake holders so that they can make decisions on water availability. The USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center, comprised of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, conducted a 3-year study of water use and availability to provide information related to the competing societal and ecological water needs in the Southeastern Atlantic Coastal Basins of the Carolinas. One task to meet this objective was compiling water withdrawal and return...
These tabular data are summaries of human related landscape variables within catchments of the Chesapeake Bay watershed using the Xstrm methodology at 1:24,000 scale. Variables being counted as human related include agriculture, barriers, road density and road/stream crossing data. Outputs consist of tabular comma-separated values files (CSVs) for both local catchment and network summaries linked to the National Hydrography Dataset Plus High-Resolution (NHDPlus HR) framework by NHDPlus ID. Local catchments are defined as the single catchment the data is summarized within. Network accumulation summaries were completed for each of the local catchments and their network connected upstream and/or downstream catchments....

This shapefile represents the watersheds present within the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem (CCE) boundary.(Note: a different CCE boundary layer was used at the time of creation, so the area amounts within the CCE may not be accurate)This dataset was developed by the Crown Managers Partnership, as part of a transboundary collaborative management initiative for the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem, based on commonly identified management priorities that are relevant at the landscape scale. The CMP is collaborative group of land managers, scientists, and stakeholder in the CCE. This tabular data set represents the percent of land cover classes in the riparian zone from the 2019 edition of the National Land Cover databases for the years 2001, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2016 and 2019 compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2.1 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. These databases can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. Aquatic Planning Units are derived from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Hydrography Dataset (NHD)+ v. 2 catchments. They contain information used throughout the NatureScape (landscape conservation design) development. The tables include summaries of information within each catchment including predictor variables. See SI.

Terrestrial-based planning units of 1 kilometer (km) hexagons. There are about 600,000 units populated with conservation targets from around the Appalachian region. One of the targets included is the optimization from the Aquatics-only target scenario. The tables include summaries of information within each catchment including predictor variables.

Aquatic connectivity was modeled across the entire Landscape Conservation Cooperative geography at the catchmentand watershed scales. To evaluate aquatic connectivity, the density of dams and road crossings was used as these areknown to disrupt connectivity within aquatic systems. Connectivity data for dams and road crossings werecreated from the StreamCat database. The density of dams and roads was multiplied, at the catchment and watershedlevels, by the relative influence of each connectivity variable in the Boosted Regression Tree (BRT) models and then the connectivity variables were averaged. A single aquatic connectivity score was then assigned to each catchment. This aquaticconnectivity score was used to modify...
