This soil mapping application displays interactive national maps of soil series extents based on the land area of mapped soils. The information presented has been created from a snapshot of data extracted from the Soil Data Mart and Soil Classification File Database. Due to the update interval and certain assumptions made when assembling the data, these maps are suited for general information exploration and not intended for site-specific investigations. Questions concerning detailed local soil resources should be directed to your local Natural Resources Conservation Service.

This data set represents public land grazing areas (allotments) broken down to the pasture level as administered by the Bureau of Land Management, Worland Field Office, Wyoming.

This dataset represents soils of Wyoming at 1:100,000- scale. The layer contains 350 separate soils descriptions across 23 Wyoming counties. The layer was compiled based on the five-factor soil forming model using digital surficial geology, bedrock geology, and elevation. This dataset will be more fully documented in 23 AES publications scheduled for completion in winter of 99/00. These publications will use the designation AES Bulletin B-1071 followed by a two letter abreviation for each county.

U.S. Counties (Generalized) represents the counties of the United States in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. These data were reprojected to USA_Contiguous_Albers_Equal_Area_Conic_USGS_version and clipped to the MAR REA boundary.

Regional range allotment coverage of Region 2, Rocky Mountain Region, USDA Forest Service. The regional coverage reflects the range allotment data from each of the National Forests and Grasslands within the region. The regional allotment coverage was compiled by the Regional Office's Geospatial Services office by using the range allotment data provided by the Forests/Grasslands within the region, joining the infra view (II_RGE_RMU_V) to the spatial data based on the control number (cn) or allotment identifier (based on a specific adminstrative organization identifier). The Forest/Grassland data were exported to individual shapefiles. All the attribute tables were edited to contain the same items. All of the shapefiles...

This is Arizona Bureau of Land Management (BLM) statewide grazing allotment data. This polygon feature class depicts the boundaries of the livestock grazing allotments located within the Arizona BLM, Arizona, USA. Each allotment has one or more pastures. In some cases, this layer identifies the BLM managed public land or other land associated with specific grazing allotments administered by the local BLM field office. Boundaries may be fences, arbitrary lines, or natural barriers. Agency management of polygons within this feature class is not specific to BLM; other agencies are also included.

This dataset presents grazing allotments (from BLM and USFS) within the context of current and near-term terrestrial intactness and long-term potential for energy development and potential for climate change (4KM reporting units). Current terrestrial intactness is based on current measures of landscape development, fire regime and vegetation impacts, and fragmentation. Near-term intactness includes estimates of urban growth and expansion of invasive vegetation. Long-term potential for energy development is based on areas of potential for wind, solar, and petroleum development derived from multiple sources. Long-term potential for climate change is based on absolute changes in runoff, precipitation, temperature,...

This simple assessment raster is used to answer management questions (MQs) about where change agents (CAs) overlap with BLM Herd Management Areas (HMAs) in the Central Great Basin and Range Ecoregion. This is a basic footprint assessment of anthropogenic features (urban development, roads, etc) intersect with areas managed for wild horses and burros in the western US. It does not model actual response or condition of the HMAs to the CAs. The data intersects two primary classes of information: The CAs consist of 19 classes which represent different types of human infrastructure on the landscape. Some types are easily defined, precise footprints (pipelines, roads, energy development areas) while others are broader...

This simple assessment raster is used to answer management questions (MQs) about which grazing allotments (GAs) will experience significant climate change in the near future scenario in the Mojave Basin and Range Ecoregion. This is a basic intersect of areas that will likely experience significant climate change effects with the areas of public land that are leased to private entities for grazing by livestock. It does not model actual response or condition of the GAs to climate change. Nearly all GAs in the ecoregion will experience significant effects according to the criteria that were selected. The climate space trends data layer was used to ascertain areas of significant climate changes. Cells that represent...

Agricultural areas were extracted from state vegetation mapping and their location was compared to location of identified breeding bird density (75%) areas. Breeding bird density areas were mapped by Doherty et al. 2010.16 - 32 % agriculture = moderate> 32 % agriculture = low quality

Agriculture and Urban land uses were extracted from Landfire VCC and urban areas were mosaiced with TIGER roads to determine the percentage of those land uses with the riparian corridor.

Rangeland health was extracted from the results of the USGS review of BLM's rangeland standards for grazing allotments. This information is shown for grazing allotments within Wild Horse and Burro Herd Areas.

Prescribed burning is a critical tool for managing wildfire risks and meeting ecological objectives, but its safe and effective application requires that specific meteorological criteria are met. This dataset contains results from a study examining the potential impacts of projected climatic change on prescribed burning in the southeastern United States. A set of burn window criteria (suitable weather conditions within which burning may occur based on maximum daily temperature, daily average relative humidity, and daily average wind speed), were applied to projections from an ensemble of Global Climate Models (GCM) under two greenhouse gas emission scenarios, as well as past observations for comparison. Data are...

This dataset comprises a vector shapefile of the Puerto Rico geologic map from Bawiec et al. (1999), clipped to study areas in the Lares, Utuado, and Naranjito municipalities, with a modified basal contact of the Tertiary Lares Limestone (Tla) re-mapped using a lidar-derived digital elevation model (DEM) (USGS, 2018). The limestone unit of interest forms a prominent break in slope with the underlying geologic units, and this break in slope was mapped as the Tla basal contact. Only the southern contact of the Tla unit was modified. A shapefile of the extent of irrigated agricultural fields which includes an attribute table of the irrigated acreage for the period between January and December 2020 was compiled for Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Suwannee, Taylor, and Union Counties, Florida. These counties are fully or partially within the Suwannee River Water Management District boundaries. Attributes for each polygon that represents a field include a general or specific crop type, irrigation system, and primary water source for irrigation.
