Spreadsheet includes data that were used to evaluate the mixing efficiencies of liquid-to-liquid chemical injection manifolds. Specifically, piping designs were developed to deliver fisheries chemicals (e.g. carbon dioxide) into water to control the movements of invasive bigheaded carps. These data describe mixing time, homogeneity and efficacy of carbon dioxide delivery using various piping designs. Results provide recommendations for piping configurations that could be installed within navigational locks to deliver invasive species control chemicals. Project Summary Climate change is projected to have substantial impacts on Pacific Northwest water resources and ecosystems. Recognizing this, resource managers have expressed growing interest in incorporating climate change information into long-range planning. The availability of hydrologic scenarios to support climate change adaptation and long-range planning, however, has been limited until very recently to a relatively small number of selected case studies. The goal of this study is to define the baseflow needs of endangered fish populations in the Yampa River. The approach taken was to simulate habitat availability associated with several low flow scenarios and relate changes in habitat availability to habitat use by endangered fishes.

The data set includes temperature data from the base of the water column and below the bottom of the Indian River Lagoon, Brevard County, Florida. Data were collected near Eau Gallie, Melbourne, Florida and Riverwalk Park, Rockledge, Florida, on the western shore of the Lagoon. These data will ultimately be used to evaluate groundwater seepage. Data collection includes, temperature profiling using temperature stakes and distributed temperature sensing. Temperature stakes consist of 4 to 5 temperature sensors imbedded in 0.6 to 0.9 meter long polyvinyl chloride stakes that are designed to be driven into the sediment at the bottom of the lagoon. The hydrologic regime of rivers and streams is a major determinant of habitat quality for fish and aquatic invertebrates. Long-term streamflow data were compiled and multidecadal streamflow trends and ecological flow (EFlow) statistics were calculated in support of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Chesapeake Bay Science Initiative toward understanding fish habitat and health in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed (CBWS). The data set includes temperature data from the base of the water column along the sediment interface of Ellerbe Creek, Durham, North Carolina, USA, in support of a study regarding groundwater/surface water exchange. The data were collected from 07/18/2017 to 07/26/2017 using a fiber-optic distributed temperature sensing system that has 1.01 m spatial resolution along the linear fiber-optic cable. This work provides a flexible and scalable framework to assess the impacts of climate change on streamflow and stream temperature within the North Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative (NALCC) region. This is accomplished through use of lumped parameter, physically-based, conceptual hydrologic and stream temperature models formulated in a hierarchical Bayesian framework. This allows for model predictions of streamflow and temperature at ungaged locations and a formal accounting of model estimate uncertainty at each location, something not previously achieved in these models. To map the distribution of bluehead sucker, flannelmouth sucker, and roundtail chub (three-species assemblage), we compiled occurrence information from Wyoming Game and Fish Department (streams, rivers, and lakes and reservoirs), Utah Natural Heritage Program (point locations), and Colorado Parks and Wildlife (6th-level watersheds). Salmonids, a group of coldwater adapted fishes of enormous ecological and socio-economic value, historically inhabited a variety of freshwater habitats throughout the Pacific Northwest (PNW). Over the past century, however, populations have dramatically declined due to habitat loss, overharvest, and invasive species. Two of the locations were located in the Neversink River watershed near Claryville, NY (01435000) in the Catskill Mountains of New York (Fall Brook and Winnisook Creek), 1 of the locations was the Young Woman’s Creek watershed near Renovo, PA (01545600) and the last site was the Wild River watershed at Gilead, Maine (01054200).
