ForestOwn_v1 is a 250-meter spatial resolution raster geospatial dataset of forest ownership in the conterminous United States (CONUS). The dataset was prepared by the Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) program, Northern Research Station, Forest Service, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and differentiates forest from nonforest land and water, public and private ownership, and the percent of private forest land in corporate ownership. The forest/nonforest land/water classification is derived from the USDA Forest Service’s CONUS Forest/Nonforest dataset.
