Stream temperature data will be compiled from federal and provincial government agencies, as well as other data holders in British Columbia which will be housed in an interagency database. The Conservation Efforts Database is a joint effort by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services and U.S. Geological Survey to collect data on federally listed candidate, threatened, and endangered species. Trends in greater sage-grouse breeding populations are typically indexed by determining the peak number of males attending a lek in a lekking season. Numerous studies have estimated negative trends in sage-grouse breeding populations over time via data collected for the last 50 years. We propose to identify future risk of wildlife population decline for species inhabiting the Rio Grande, New Mexico.
