Annual summaries of mineral extraction and exploration activities in Idaho and factors impacting these activities. Published and unpublished content. In 1975 Idaho Geological Survey, then named Idaho Bureau of Mines and Geology, began compiling annual summaries for use by U.S. Bureau of Mines and U.S. Geological Survey annual reports after dissolution of the office of the Idaho State Inspector of Mines in 1974. These state data resources are generally more rich in content and context than federal summaries. As part of an ongoing project funded in part by U.S. Geological Survey and Idaho Department of Lands, data from these documents are being geo-related within the Idaho Geological Survey's Database of Mines and...

The Anaconda Research Collection (ARC) holds over 80,000 inventoried specimens, 10,000 thin-sections, and some geochemical data from various mines around Montana.
The 'UVX: Plans, Clippings, Correspondence and Assays' file is part of the A. F. Budge Mining Ltd. Mining collection. A. F. Budge Mining Ltd., a British company owned by Tony Budge, controlled properties across several western U. S. states and northern Mexico. The company was active in Arizona during the 1980s and into the early 1990s. The collection consists of economic geologic information including maps, logs, reports and records. A few properties make up most of the collection: Vulture, United Verde Extension and Korn Kob.
Scanned unique documents (maps, geologic reports, drill logs, assays, correspondence, etc.) and other data related to mineral exploration and extraction activity in Idaho

Hand specimens of rocks collected in and around Marathon County as part of a bedrock mapping project in the 1970s and 1980s. Specimens were collected by P.E. Myers and UW-Oshkosh geologist Gene LaBerge as part of the field work supporting WGNHS publication Information Circular 45: Precambrian Geology of Marathon County, 1983. The collection consists of about 1500 specimens taken from approximately 580 outcrop locations.
