The 'Map - San Miguel County, Central' file is part of the Grover Heinrichs mining collection. Grover was the Vice President of Heinrichs GEOEXploration, located in Tucson, Arizona. The collection contains over 1,400 folders including economic geology reports, maps, photos, correspondence, drill logs and other related materials. The focus of much of the information is on the western United States, particularly Arizona, but the collection also includes files on mining activity throughout the United States, foreign countries, and 82 mineral commodities.

This part of the data release contains historical streamflow data compiled from the literature and evaporation loss estimates used in the streamflow gain loss equation. These digital data accompany Houston, N.A., Thomas, J.V., Ging, P.B., Teeple, A.P., Pedraza, D.E., and Wallace, D.S., 2019, Pecos River Basin Salinity Assessment, Santa Rosa Lake, New Mexico to the Confluence of the Pecos River and the Rio Grande, Texas,2015: U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Report 2019-5071, https://doi.org/10.3133/sir20195071.

This Data Release contains various types of hydrologic and geologic data from the Pecos River Basin during1900–2015, including water-quality data compiled and synthesized from various sources (including data from water-quality samples collected by the USGS in 2015 from 26 sites), streamflow gain-loss data collected by the USGS in 2015 and historical streamflow gain-loss data compiled from the literature, the horizontal extent of and depth to the base of the 16 geologic and hydrogeologic units that underlie the study area, and geospatial data collected by the USGS. The data were used to complete a detailed salinity assessment of the Pecos River from Santa Rosa Lake, New Mexico to the Confluence of the Pecos River...

The U.S. Geological Survey developed a coupled groundwater and surface-water flow (GSFLOW) model to represent the aquifers of the Colorado Plateau and Upper Colorado River Basin. The study area covers approximately 142,000 square miles and includes parts of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. To support this modeling effort, groundwater well withdrawal volume data were needed from January 01, 1980 to September 30, 2022. These data were retrieved from online state databases. In addition to withdrawal-volume data, well-construction data including depths and/or perforated casing intervals were recorded when available from the databases and/or scanned driller’s logs. Arizona groundwater-withdrawal volume...
