The Geologic Photos of Alaska database and online application contains photographs taken during and in support of Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys (DGGS) projects. These photographs primarily document field sites and geomorphology statewide, usually in remote locations that are often impossible or prohibitively expensive to revisit. The database (http://maps.dggs.alaska.gov/photodb/) includes a variety of images such as field photos, photos of samples, and photomicrographs (photograph of a microscopic object) taken with the aid of a microscope.
This location is part of the Arizona Mineral Industry Location System (AzMILS), an inventory of mineral occurences, prospects and mine locations in Arizona. Graham62 is located in T4S R20E Sec 25 N2 in the San Carlos Reservoir - 15 Min quad. This collection consists of various reports, maps, records and related materials acquired by the Arizona Department of Mines and Mineral Resources regarding mining properties in Arizona. Information was obtained by various means, including the property owners, exploration companies, consultants, verbal interviews, field visits, newspapers and publications. Some sections may be redacted for copyright. Please see the access statement.
This derivative engineering-geologic map illustrates potential near-surface sources of various geologic materials that may be useful for construction near the Dalton Highway area, from Atigun Gorge to Slope Mountain. The map area is located in the west-central Philip Smith Mountains quadrangle. The map extends from the northern flank of the Endicott Mountains into the Arctic Foothills province. Field observations indicate that each geologic unit (for example, stream alluvium) has a definite composition or range of composition. Therefore, the probable presence of materials is interpreted from the distribution of geologic units on the geologic map of this quadrangle. Map unit descriptions also include discussion of...

These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. Digital surfaces and thicknesses of selected hydrogeologic units of the Floridan aquifer system were developed to define an updated hydrogeologic framework as part of the U.S. Geological Survey Groundwater Resources Program. This feature class contains a gridded surface depicting thickness of surficial deposits in feet.
