The Russian River Watershed (RRW) covers about 1,300 square miles (without Santa Rosa Plain) of urban, agricultural, and forested lands in northern Sonoma County and southern Mendocino County, California. Communities in the RRW depend on a combination of Russian River water and groundwater to meet their water-supply demands. Water is used primarily for agricultural irrigation, municipal and private wells supply, and commercial uses - such as for wineries and recreation. Annual rainfall in the RRW is highly variable, making it prone to droughts and flooding from atmospheric river events. In order to better understand surface-water and groundwater issues, the USGS is creating a Coupled Ground-Water and Surface-Water...

A four-component (incoming and outgoing shortwave and longwave radiation) radiometer (model CNR1) was installed on a monitoring station (LZ40) constructed by the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) in the approximate center of Lake Okeechobee in Florida, located at 26 degrees 54 minutes 06.254 seconds North, 080 degrees 47 minutes 21.301 seconds West. Specific time-series collected for this data release include the following parameters with units of watts per square meter: (1) incoming shortwave radiation, (2) outgoing shortwave radiation, (3) incoming longwave radiation, and (4) outgoing longwave radiation. Instantaneous readings of each parameter were measured every 5 seconds and averaged over 15-minute...

This data release is the update of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) - ScienceBase data release Bera (2021b), with the processed data for the period October 1, 2019, through September 30, 2020. This data release describes the watershed data management (WDM) database file WBDR20.WDM. The WDM database file WBDR19.WDM (Bera, 2020b) is updated with the quality-assured and quality-controlled meteorological and hydrologic data for the period October 1, 2019, through September 30, 2020, following the guidelines documented in Bera (2017) and is renamed as WBDR20.WDM. Meteorological data other than precipitation (wind speed, solar radiation, air temperature, dew point temperature, and potential evapotranspiration) are copied...

Potential evapotranspiration (PET), and reference evapotranspiration (ETo) are estimated at a 1-kilometer spatial resolution and daily time-scale from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022 for Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and parts of Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee. PET and ETo were computed on the basis of solar radiation, meteorological data (min/max temperature, min/max relative humidity, and mean wind speed at 2-meter height), and shortwave blue-sky albedo data. Solar radiation was computed from Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) sensor data, blue-sky albedo was computed from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MODIS) MCD43A1 BRDF/Albedo data product,...

Potential evapotranspiration (PET), and reference evapotranspiration (ETo) are estimated at an approximately 2-kilometer (approximately 0.019 degrees longitude and 0.018 degrees latitude) spatial grid and daily time-scale from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019 for the entire State of Florida. PET and ETo were computed on the basis of solar radiation, meteorological data (minimum/maximum temperature, minimum/maximum relative humidity, and mean wind speed at 2-meter height), and shortwave blue-sky albedo data for 2019. Solar radiation was computed from Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) sensor data, blue-sky albedo was computed from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MODIS) MCD43A1...

This data release includes meteorological and soil information collected from calendar years 2015 to 2021 (water years 2016 to 2021) that include air temperature, soil temperature, soil moisture and solar radiation monitored at a site in the Black Creek subwatershed near Harlan, Allen County, Indiana (USGS 411228084541703 MET STATION WEST OF BULL RAPIDS RD NR HARLAN, IN). Meteorological and soil monitoring was done in coordination with monitoring of flow, suspended sediment, and nutrients in overland flow and subsurface-tile flow to support understanding of factors affecting nutrient and sediment loads at paired U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) edge-of-field (EOF) agricultural sites. Black Creek is a tributary of the...

These data were compiled from six automated weather stations that together provide several points in the meteorological record across a latitudinal and elevational gradient in southeastern Utah. Recorded data from these weather stations are associated with several different studies. Meteorological data are important for quantifying short term weather events as well as longer term climate trends. Spatially separated precipitation gauges allow for better characterization of the heterogeneity of precipitation events. These data were collected from six locations running from north to south in southeast Utah. All of the weather stations use Campbell Scientific data loggers and data are collected daily via telecommunications...
