This data set consists of digital data describing wetlands and uplands habitats for the Mississippi Coastal Improvements Program (MsCIP) area, consisting of Cat, Ship, Horn and Petit Bois Islands for the year 2020. Wetlands were classified using the Cowardin, et al., wetlands classification scheme to the level of freshwater and tidal, salinity modifiers. Uplands were classified using a customized classification scheme which can be cross-referenced to Anderson, et. al. For this dataset, upland dunes were delineated as areas at or above 1.524 meters (5 feet) as determined in the Lidar data that was referenced without modification for this classification. With this elevation criteria some delineated upland dune features...

This dataset contains the predicted distributions of 445 terrestrial vertebrate species in Wyoming, created in a GIS modeling process using species habitat association rules in combination with species geographic range. Because of the large size of this dataset, it is distributed in two ways (complete, statewide), and tiled into 56 1:100,000-scale quadrangles units which are small enough to be utilized in the PC Arc/Info or ArcView environment.

This individual species distribution is derived from a GIS modeling process using species habitat association rules in combination with species geographic range. There are a total of 445 individual terrestrial vertebrate species distributions generated for Wyoming by the Wyoming Gap Analysis project.

The goal of delineating Conservation Opportunity Areas (COAs) was to use relevant variables to map areas in South Dakota where increased emphasis on habitat conservation, protection, or management will benefit rare species and remaining intact native habitats. Identified areas may include lands owned or managed by federal, state, tribal, or private entities and areas that may already be managed to maximize species and habitat diversity. The COA maps are not intended to display a land acquisition blueprint, but are an attempt to identify areas that would help fulfill the specific objectives for terrestrial and aquatic systems in South Dakota, as described in the Wildlife Action Plan. The goal of the terrestrial COA...
